William Hutchinson, DDS
Comprehensive Dental Care
Dr. Hutchinson, the son of a dentist, provides, compassionate, comprehensive quality care to people of all ages, just as he watched his father do. He performs all aspects of general dentistry, including restorative dentistry, crowns, bridges, dental implants, cosmetic procedures, and teeth whitening.
Dr. Hutchinson joined Hillside Dental in 1983. He is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin – Eau Claire and received his Dental degree from the Marquette University School of Dentistry in 1980. After dental school Dr. Hutchinson spent three years in the U.S. Navy as a dentist.
Dr. Hutchinson and his wife Cheryl have two adult children. In the summer months you’ll find him enjoying gardening and the rest of the year he is passionate about Wisconsin Badger athletics. He is involved in the local and state dental associations. He is a proud member of the Sunrise Exchange Club service organization and serves as the club’s secretary. Being a Minnesota Viking fan, living in Packer country makes life fun.
Dr. Hutchinson has taken many continuing education courses, including implant treatment and restorations, prosthodontics, periodontics, endodontics, whitening techniques, esthetics, CPR and medical emergencies.
Tom Breneman, DDS, FAGD
Aesthetic, Reconstructive & Implant Dentistry
Dr. Tom Breneman focuses on esthetic, reconstructive, and implant dentistry, as well as occlusion (how the teeth come together), and smile artistry.
Dr. Tom Breneman is a native of Iowa and has been a resident of the Badger State since 1990. Dr. Tom received his Bachelor of Science Degree in 1985 from Buena Vista College and his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Iowa in 1989. Following graduation, Dr. Tom completed a one-year residency in the Advanced Education in General Dentistry program at the dental college in Iowa City.
In July of 1998, Dr. Tom received his Fellowship with the Academy of General Dentistry. This award recognizes his commitment to continuing education.
When not involved with dentistry, Dr. Tom is active in the Eau Claire Noon Kiwanis Club. Is a Brewmaster at K Point Brewing and also is a pizziaiolo with Tutto Bene Wood Fired Pizza during the summer months. He also shares in parenting his three sons with wife, and business partner Dr. Lonnette.
Dr. Breneman has taken many continuing education courses, including orofacial pain, diagnostic techniques to address occlusion (how the teeth come together), smile artistry, esthetic dentistry, direct bonding, smile design, advanced anterior esthetics, advanced anterior restorations, esthetic materials, orthodontic treatment for borderline extraction patients, advanced endodontic techniques through the AGD Mastertrack program, implants, functional occlusion, practical crown and bridge, radiosurgery, periodontal surgery.
Lonnette Breneman, DDS
Aesthetic and Family Dentistry
Dr. Lonnette Breneman completed her Bachelor of Science degree at the University of Michigan and received her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Iowa College of Dentistry. She spent an additional year training at St. John’s Mercy Medical Center in St. Louis, Missouri. Dr. Breneman joined Hillside Dental, Ltd. in 1991. She comes from a dental family. Her Dad, husband, brother, sister in law and cousin are all in the dental field.
Dr. Breneman acquired her interest in hospital dentistry during her residency and continues to treat patients in an operating room setting several times a year. This allows dental care for those who might otherwise not be able to be treated in a traditional office setting.
Dr. Breneman focuses on esthetic and family dentistry. She enjoys helping people with their unique dental needs and building individual solutions that meet their goals. Dr. Lonnette finds meeting and getting to know new patients plus reconnecting with returning patients is what make the days and the dentistry fun.
Outside of the office, Dr. Breneman enjoys downhill skiing, curling, traveling, walks with her dog and attending activities with her three sons. She is also currently serving her second term on the LE Phillips Career Development Center Board.
Chris Johnson, DDS
Dr. Chris Johnson works with all aspects of restorative and general dentistry, including endodontics (root canals), crowns/bridges, whitening, bonding, other cosmetics, oral surgery, periodontics (gum treatment) and dental implants.
Dr. Chris Johnson grew up in Eau Claire, Wisconsin, and graduated from Eau Claire Memorial High School. His undergraduate studies were completed at the University of Wisconsin Eau Claire where he received a Bachelor of Science degree. Dr. Johnson was accepted to the University of Minnesota, School of Dentistry where he earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. After dental school he completed a one-year General Practice Residency in the University of Minnesota Hospital Dental Clinic.
Upon completion of the GPR Program, Dr. Johnson was commissioned as a Lieutenant in the United States Navy Dental corps. He served three years active duty in the Navy with one year at the Naval Station 32nd Street in San Diego, California, and two years aboard the Aircraft Carrier, USS Kitty Hawk CV-63. Upon completion of his naval service, Dr. Johnson joined Hillside Dental in 1997.
When not at the office, Dr. Johnson enjoys golf, canoeing, and the outdoors with his wife, Michelle, along with his daughter and son. Dr. Johnson also serves the dental profession and the public by being very involved with organized dentistry by volunteering with the Wisconsin Dental Association (WDA) and the American Dental Association (ADA) as a local and national leader. His duties include WDA Region 1 Trustee and ADA 9th District Delegate.
He has taken many courses in continuing education, including endodontics, operative dentistry, non-surgical periodontal therapy, caries and periodontal disease, medical emergencies, pain control, esthetic restorative dentistry, porcelain inlays and onlays.
